How to Style: Slate
Slate is the cool kid around here.
It's the perfect neutral that goes with anything and adds a relaxed, industrial vibe to your space. It's stylish, confident and sophisticated.
"Our Slate is a dark, smoky matte grey with a subtle blue undertone. It's a muted and versatile shade that can stand proudly on its own or let the other colors within your space really shine." — Becca
Here are some of our favorite ways to style a Slate locker in a space.
monochrome
Pair Slate and White together to create a crisp and classic combination. Having a monochromatic space doesn't mean it has to be boring! Add textures and patterns into the mix to keep things interesting, try a patterned rug or framed artwork. There's something so satisfying about a really reduced palette.
think pink
We love seeing Slate and Blush next to each other. It's one of our favorite color combos! The pastel Blush really pops next to the dark Slate, adding softness to a space. You don't have to paint your walls Blush for this to look good (although we highly recommend it!) Adding small bursts of pink and metallic materials like gold, copper, or brass will create a sophisticated yet pretty look.
going green
Slate is the perfect neutral, and when paired with earthy green colors like our pastel Sage or deep Olive, it creates a super relaxing atmosphere. Bring the outside in with loads of indoor plants to really make the space feel cozy and calm.
