5 (simple!) steps to reset your home

A Sage Lowdown locker sits in a home office next to a wooden desk with a chair. There is a laptop on the desk and small potted plants and books decorating the space.

There's something special about the start of a new year. Full of possibility and excitement, January is the perfect time to turn over a new leaf and make the most of all that bright-eyed motivation.

If your list of resolutions contained the words 'organize' or 'declutter,' we bet you're not alone! One of the most important factors in getting your home reset and reorganized is kinda simple: you need somewhere to put your stuff. Out of sight, out of mind as they say. The good news? We can help with that! Here are five simple steps you can take to give your home a clean slate this month.

A Chalk Midi has its doors open. Inside are towels and linens, plus laundry supplies arranged in Baskets.

rearrange the linen cupboard

Still holding on to those mismatched pillowcases – you know, just in case? Got enough tattered old towels to last a lifetime? It's time to reorganize your linen cupboard!

We love a Midi for its ability to hold a whole lot of linens without taking up too much floor space. Pop in your shelves at the right height for your needs and add a Basket or two to hold spare loo rolls, cleaning supplies and extra laundry detergent. Donate any old sheets, blankets and pillowcases or find a textile recycling company if they're past donating. You'll feel good as new!

An Ocean Lowdown is styled in a cosy bedroom. There is a lamp and a stack of books on top, with a small painting on the wall behind.

declutter that bedside table

Bedside looking like a tangle of cords, a collection of cups, and a stack of unread books collecting dust? It's the first and last thing you see most days, so an organized bedside table can help you start and finish the day on the right foot. With its clever cable hole in the back, The Lowdown makes a handy bedside buddy. Pop your phone on charge inside and you'll eliminate the temptation to check your notifications in the middle of the night. Plus, you can use the top as a dresser, makeup station, or to showcase your favorite decor pieces.

The Lowdown stores a surprising amount inside – perfect for that to-be-read pile! The cherry on top? Like all our lockers, you can lock it (duh!), so your secret diary is safe and sound inside. No more morning scramble for your wallet, glasses, lanyard, or whatever else you usually dump somewhere near your bed!

A Slate Twinny is styled in a bedroom. Its doors are both open, showing a monochromatic wardrobe inside including hanging clothes, and shoes.

give your wardrobe an edit

Maybe you've developed a bit of a floor-drobe habit, or perhaps you've got a chair-drobe (guilty!) Even if you've managed to keep all your clothes in your closet – quite the feat, honestly – the start of the year is a great time to give it a refresh.

We made The Twinny the perfectly personalizable wardrobe. We love that you can add or remove shelves as you like, to create as much hanging or folding space as you need. One of our favorite hacks is to go through your wardrobe and pull out anything you haven't worn in the last 12 months. Unless it's something special you're holding onto with intention, maybe it's time to pass it on to a friend or donate it. Make sure all your Hangers are facing the same direction (it will be so much easier to navigate your clothes!) and refold or roll the rest into baskets for easy access on the shelves.

An Olive Lowdown is styled in a home office next to a small wooden desk. There is a tall potted plant on top of the locker and a small painting on the wall.

organize your home office

Whether you WFH or live the hybrid life, most of us need somewhere neat and tidy to tend to our emails or work on a dream. But a messy workspace can make it very tricky to concentrate, let alone have a stroke of creative genius! If you're struggling to sit at your desk, a home-office reset may be just what you need. Start by tackling any loose papers, sorting anything you need to keep into folders or drawers.

We love The Lowdown for office storage, as it hides plenty inside while giving you a nice surface to display your calendar, mood board or inspirations. You can even stash a printer inside – and then close the door on it! Much better.

An Ocean Midi sits in a living space with its doors open. Inside bar accessories are styled up, including bottles of alcohol, glasses and serveware. There is a collection of ceramics sitting on top of the locker.

say cheers to your reset home!

We're about to celebrate your newly decluttered home, but just before we do, there's one more task on the list. Have you got a stash of bottles cluttering up a cupboard?

We created our Midi after multiple requests for a bar cart, and we're so glad we did! Free up some space in your kitchen cupboards by migrating your glassware, drinks serveware and bottles to a Midi. You'll level up your entertaining prowess and make a mid-week, after-work drink feel like a special occasion. Cheers to that!
