How to Style: Olive
Say hello to the perfect shade of dark green. Our Olive is so much more than a (delicious) garnish!
Let's take a quick trip back in time. It's 2018, and Becca is dreaming up a little something called Mustard Made. The very first color on her wishlist? It's a classic, rich and earthy green. Dark but not too dark, saturated but not too bright, it's the perfect match for everything from blushing pastels to soothing neutrals and even a pop of Mustard.
Yep, Olive was the first Mustard Made color, inspired by a well-loved vintage locker Becca had picked up in a hunter green color (it was close, but not quite Olive!)
"Olive is smooth and subtle. It's got a bit of a vintage edge to it, but it's still modern and effortless. And it's the perfect color to house your plant collection!" — Becca
Whether you go all out green, pair it with pretty pinks or opt for pops of primary colors, here are three of our favorite ways to style our gorgeous Olive lockers.
jungle vibes
Green thumbs, you've found your perfect match! Plant lovers make this shade sing by pairing it with cascading foliage for an urban oasis feel that's lush and soothing. Perfect for bringing the outdoors in, Olive celebrates nature and all its beauty. Bonus points for throwing in a complementary Sage locker to double down on the green goodness. We love this look styled with natural textures such as rattan, timber and linen.
sugar + spice
Bring out Olive's softer side by pairing her with pretty shades of pink for a look that's feminine yet grounded. Our Blush and Berry lockers lend a touch of sugary sweetness that's perfectly balanced by Olive's earthiness. Add interest by layering multiple shades of pink while letting Olive stand bold and beautiful.
primary pop
Delightfully playful, a little retro and a whole lotta fun, primary colors are a can't-go-wrong formula! Olive is right at home with Navy, Poppy and Mustard for a foursome that's guaranteed to make you smile. Line them up for an unabashed celebration of color, or let Olive shine with little primary-colored accents. A bold cushion, bright throw or colorful artwork brings out Olive's depth and richness. If you have white walls, this is a great way to elevate your space without having to repaint!
