Lilac Living: How to add more of our favorite pastel purple to your home
We love Lilac. No, we really love Lilac. As the newest color to our rainbow, we can't quite believe we didn't have this beauty in our lineup all along. We're making up for lost time by spreading the love for this pretty purple shade far and wide!
We had a photoshoot just for Lilac in the wonderful home of Annie @annieveringham - the photos turned out so well that they just deserved a blog post all of their own! We thought, what a great opportunity this is to show off just how gorgeous Lilac is (in case you didn't know already, and if you didn't, where have you been?) and also give you some inspo on how to use a locker in your home!
Let's get into it, shall we? Admire the photos by the incredibly talented Zoe Lonergan while we inspire you with all of the lovely locker goodness.
The Shorty in Lilac to the Left | Glass vase
A pair of Shorties really do make the best bedside tables. The cable hole is perfect for your bedside lamp and alarm clock, to keep all those cables neatly inside. You will never find a bedside more colourful and not only that, they are lockable! Yep, so your midnight chocolate stash will be touched by no-one (except you) ever again... it's a brilliant idea, we know.
The Shorty in Lilac to the Left here has been styled with other muted pastel tones, very pale pinks and soft linen furnishings to show how Lilac doesn't have to be surrounded by bright colours. It may seem like a very bold option at first, but she can be a very calming colour when paired with the right palette.
The Skinny in Lilac | Artwork | Square Cushion | Round cushion | Wooden Stacker Toy
Some might say that Skinny is our most versatile locker. Why? You will be amazed at how little floor space she takes up, while giving you maximum storage. The Skinny fits perfectly into those awkward little alcoves where nothing else is quite right, in any and every room: living room (see above!), utility room, kitchen, bedroom, nursery, home gym and maybe even bathroom if you are feeling a little daring - see our FAQs for our advice on having lockers in bathrooms and outside!
The Midi in Lilac | The Baskets in Blush | Vase| The Baskets in White | The Baskets in Lilac
The Midi is bigger than she appears. She can hold a lot, and we mean a lot! For that reason she can work in a multitude of spaces where you might need that little extra room for keeping things all neat and tidy, like maybe your kitchen overflowing with your favourite mug collection, or your hallway's increasing number of shoes.
The Lowdown in Lilac | Artwork | Candle
Talk about a beautifully styled hallway - the Lowdown in Lilac is really having her time to shine! Use pretty colours and styling to make keeping your hallway looking spick and span all the more fun! Ok, maybe it's not so fun to start with, but add a Lilac locker to your life, a few pastel finishing touches and you will be itching to sort out all of your shoes, just so you have an excuse to stare at your shiny new locker for a little while longer.
The Twinny in Lilac | Lamp | Artwork
Last but not least comes the Twinny, and isn't she looking gorgeous?! The Twinny is definitely most at home in a bedroom or nursery, because she was totally made to be a wardrobe. Whether that is a wardrobe for teeny tiny baby clothes like in the first photo, or for the clothes of a fully grown adult. The Twinny in Lilac can be playful and fun, sophisticated and tranquil, or anywhere in-between.
Special mention to our beautiful baskets, which you may have spotted in some of the other photos too! The great thing about adding Baskets to your locker is that it is an opportunity to mix and match your colours! You don't have to match your baskets to your locker (although we do love a matchy-matchy moment ourselves!). Why not use the Baskets in Lilac to play around with some colour combos....Lilac and Blush, Lilac and Sage, or Lilac and Olive maybe?
Well that was a lovely trip down Lilac Lane! We hope that gave you some inspiration in whatever form that may take - locker inspo, lilac inspo, or just the inspiration to maybe do a bit of reorganising!
